Can you believe it has almost been thirty years already! We can't be that old, I feel too good! Anyway, the reunion is set for:
Dates: June 20-21, 2008.
Location: Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front (formerly the Hilton Garden Inn)
Please spread the word to everyone you can.
NOTE: MEMBERS OF THE CLASS OF 1977 AND THE CLASS OF 1979 ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND AS WELL!
The basic plans are as follows:
The dates are June 20 and 21.
SCHEDULE:
For those who can make it, Friday we will be at Bamboo Willie's, beginning at 6:00PM (drop in later if you can't get there at 6:00). There will be a keg of beer for you beer drinkers and wings.
Saturday at 10AM tour of the high school with Scot Cole for all, including kids.
Saturday afternoon will be a time of hanging out on the beach, behind the Hilton, with family.
Saturday evening is our big Luau at the beach Hilton. Casual beach attire.
Expect door prizes too. We have a DJ that will play until 10:00
(unfortunately, the Hilton makes him stop at 10) but we all don't have
to stop. There will be a Luau type buffet. Drinks are ala cart.
The party will be from 6? Adults only.
REGISTRATION: Please go to the GBHS78.com reunion registration page. There is a form which you can download and fill out to send to Veronica O'Brien, via e-mail, with info that we will need. Don't forget to do that if you plan on attending.
COST/PAYMENT: The cost is $75 if paid by May 20. If after May 20, the cost is $80. Final registration and payment is due by June 15, 2008. If you would like to make a donation for some of those who can't attend due to a financial hardship, you may include that donation with your check. Linda Jordan Crovatt is handling all the money. Donations will be anonymous and will be returned if no one takes advantage of the donations. Linda's address to send a check to is: 7 Taft Drive, Pensacola FL 32503. IMPORTANT NOTE - WE NEED YOUR PICTURE IF YOU WERE NOT IN THE YEARBOOK: If your picture was NOT in the 1978 “Cetacea” yearbook, we need a picture of you from around 1978 so that can make name tags with pictures for the reunion (so that we can remember each other!). Jeromee (McDonald) Beaudette has volunteered to make these buttons (as well as coming up with the idea to start with!).
